Plugging Back In

January 12, 2012

Hello blog enthusiasts again and thank for joining me for another week and another blog. This week will be different though, since it is that time again for second semester to start. I do not know if I am the only one, but I can never get any sleep the night before the first day (or in this case a new semester). As a college student I will need to catch as many zzz’s when I can, but like with all things I will give myself a grace period to adjust.

The first thing I would like to inform all of you is that my email drought is now officially over. While I was on break, like so many other DU students, I think a lot of our email inbox’s got a break as well. Now it is sign back in and get connected. As classes start, the emails to my dom.edu email steadily come in. I must say I missed having an event to look forward to, a plan for what meeting that was coming up, or getting the ball rolling for a new assignment. I must find a way to break the habit of checking my email every 10 minutes though, but I do not think I am the only one. It is always good to embrace technology, but do not forget to take a break to read, go outside, have a snack, or drop by our very own Wellness Center for some me time.

I look forward to sharing a whole new set of blogs, experiences, stories, and just general happenings with all of you as this semester progresses. The most recent event that might be affecting my life is the result of my application to study aboard in Florence. I hope to find out soon, what a summer it will be this year if I get to go. Until next time…
